Kalsee Eco-Lodge is located 35 km northwest of Pokhara, nestled in the Tanchowk forest, Annapurna Gampalika-7, Kaski, and locally known as Kayarbari or Mahabhir (Honey Rock). From Pokhara, you can take a bus to Lumle (approximately one hour). From Lumle, enjoy a scenic two-hour hike northeast, offering stunning views of the Annapurna Range and lush forests along the way.
You can take a public bus from Pokhara’s Banglung or Prithwi Chowk Bus Parks to Lumle, with frequent departures. The journey takes around two hours and costs approximately $1.5 (Rs 200). From Lumle, it’s a short, scenic hike of around 1.5 hours to the lodge. For a quicker and more comfortable option, consider a private taxi for around $25 (Rs 2500).
From Pokhara to Lumle is a 60-minute drive. You can park at Gurung Fulbari Khajaghar or Lumle Coffee Estate and enjoy a 90-minute hike. Alternatively, drive to the Kanchhi Baraha Temple and walk 15 minutes to the lodge.
For an adventurous ride, take a 4WD or motorbike from Lumle to Kanchhi Baraha Temple. The off-road journey takes about 90 minutes, and you can park at the temple for a 20-minute walk to the lodge. We recommend using GPS with coordinates: Latitude: 28°30’7517”N, Longitude: 83°79’7687”W.
