Kalsee Eco-Lodge is situated approximately 35 km northwest of Pokhara, nestled in the serene Tanchowk forest of Annapurna Gampalika-7, Kaski. Locally known as Kayarbari or Mahabhir (Honey Rock), this hidden retreat offers a tranquil escape surrounded by nature.
From Pokhara, take a local bus from Baglung or Prithvi Chowk Bus Parks to Lumle—an hour-long journey through scenic foothills. From Lumle, embark on a northeast-bound hike of about two hours, offering panoramic views of the Annapurna Range and lush forest trails rich with Himalayan flora.
Frequent public buses run from Pokhara’s Baglung and Prithvi Chowk Bus Parks to Lumle. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours with stops and costs around $1.50 (Rs 200). From Lumle, enjoy a scenic 2-hour hike to the lodge. For a faster and more comfortable ride, private taxis are available for around $25 (Rs 2500).
The drive from Pokhara to Lumle takes about 60 minutes via the Pokhara–Baglung Highway.
Vehicles can be parked at Gurung Fulbari Khajaghar or the nearby Lumle Coffee Estate. From either point, it’s a 90-minute hike to the lodge.
From Lumle, enter via Landruk Chowk and continue along a 7 km unpaved road to Kanchhi Baraha Temple. Parking is available near the temple (at your own risk), followed by a brief 15-minute walk to the lodge.
