Our location is 35 km northwest of Pokhara in the forest of Tanchowk, Annapurna Gampalika-7, Kaski. The location is locally known as Kayarbari or Mahabhir (Honey Rock ). It is an hour bus ride from Pokhara to Lumle and soft hiking toward the northeast for about two hours. You can have unforgettable views of the Annapurna Himalayan Range and evergreen forest along the way.
If you take the public bus from Pokhara, you can take it from Banglung Bus park or Prithiwichowk Bus park. There are frequent buses to Lumle available. But the bus has several stops and may take two hours or more. Cost you US$ 1 or Rs 100. If you like to take a private transfer or taxi from Pokhara it takes an hour’s drive to Lumle. It cost US$ 20 or Rs 2000 per taxi. From Lumle, you need to soft hike for about an hour and a half. We recommend you take a private transfer or taxi to avoid delay. If you need transfer assistance, please feel free to contact us in advance.
Approximately 60 minutes from Pokhara to Lumle, and 90 minutes soft hiking. If you start the hike from Lumle, pay parking is available at Gurung Fulbari Khajaghar, Lumle ( Mobile No: 9813254779). You can also drive further on 4WD or motorbike to the Kanchhi Baraha temple then 15 minutes walk to our lodge.
Driving here in a 4WD Jeep or Motorbike or Scooter with GPS?
It is an hour and a half off-road drive from Lumle. The road goes via Tanchowk, in Pokhara-Landruk Gramin Sadak. We recommend 4WD for your off-road ride. You can park your vehicle in the Kanchhibaraha Temple area. It is just about a 20-minute walk toward the west of our lodge from Kanchhi Varaha temple.
